How Do I Get Certified?

Certification through AMT is currently only offered for the Medical Laboratory Assistant Program.

MLT (associate’s degree required) and MLS (bachelor’s degree required) programs are in the works.

This is the step-by-step process for certification.

Apply to the Program

Simply click the button to get started.

The only requirement for the Lab Assistant program is a high school diploma or equivalent level of education. If you are planning on graduating from high school, you can start the program. However, you cannot intern or be placed in a lab job until you complete your high school diploma.

Schedule your Interview

We interview EVERY applicant.

We believe it’s important for us to get to know you before we make a decision. We don’t screen based on the application alone. While we value the education you’ve received, we prioritize your character and attributes over your GPA. It’s easier to teach someone how to correctly pipette fluids and calibrate equipment than it is to teach someone kindness and integrity.

This scheduling platform is the same that’s available to all students as they continue through the course. When you book your time, please add a note that the purpose of this call is for the application interview.

Get Accepted!

As long as you meet our minimum requirements and show a desire to learn the medical laboratory, we do our best to make space to onboard you.

There are some other aspects we look for, but we prioritize drive and character.

Make Payment

We can customize a payment plan that works for you. For a custom payment plan, schedule a call with us.

We also offer standard payment plans:

  • $800 for the full program paid upfront

  • $900 for the full program paid monthly ($180/mo for 5 months)

If you choose one of the standard payment plans, you can get started right now. Click on the “Get Started!” button, make payment, and you’ll have immediate access to the program.

*NOTE: If you start the program and don’t qualify, we will refund your payment in full. You can start the program before you even interview with us. However, certification at the end of the program requires the previous steps be complete before you finish the program.

Complete the Statement of Support Form

To intern at a hospital or clinic lab, this Statement of Support Form is required to be completed.

You, as the student, are responsible for finding a laboratory that will support your internship, covering the areas listed in the form. LabTechify will help in the process, but ultimately, the responsibility lies with the student.

If you need assistance with this process, reach out to us at support@labtechify.com. We will do what we can to help in the process, but we are limited on what we are able to do.

Complete the Competency Checklist

During your internship, you will be required to complete the Competency Checklist.

The lab will provide a mentor to oversee your laboratory experience and will be responsible for grading you on your competencies. This form will be filled out by the laboratory and returned to LabTechify.

*NOTE: Keep in mind that your internship is basically a long interview and is the easiest way to get placed in a job. So work hard and be your best self.

Get Certified through AMT

With the program and internship completed, you are now qualified to take the AMT National Certification Exam.

LabTechify has access to practice exams for you to take to help you prepare for the exam. There is also a library of videos of experts reviewing practice exam questions. Our objective is to help you feel confident sitting for the exam.

Get A Job

LabTechify doesn’t leave you on your own to find a job.

The internship is our first step towards finding a job. If that lab has a position available, you’ll have a big advantage over all other applicants. However, the lab may not have an open position. As you move forward, we will continue to be available for one-on-one calls to review and will be working with placement companies to help you get placed into a laboratory.

Placement in a job is LabTechify’s most important metric. This is the figure by which we measure success. Everything we do throughout this program leads to your placement in a job.
